Peter Petzelbauer, MD, CSO, is the Principal Investigator at FIBREX Medical. He is the Head of the Endothelial Cell Biology Laboratory at the Department of Dermatology, University of Vienna Medical School and an internationally acclaimed scientist in the field of endothelial cell biology. Peter Petzelbauer has made significant contributions to understand the role of endothelial cells in inflammation. He has received numerous awards and publishes his work in international peer reviewed journals. He has identified the function of FIBREX' lead product FX06. Peter Petzelbauer is advisory board member of international pharmaceutical companies.
Irina Staatz-Granzer, PhD, CBO, has almost 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, with most of her career dedicated to corporate and business development as well as general management. Prior to joining forces with FIBREX in 2008, she held positions with Hermal, Boots Healthcare, Knoll, Scil Biomedical and U3 Pharma. She also runs her own business as a consultant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
Bernard Geudelin, MD, CMO, brings many years of clinical development expertise from his work as Medical Director at Sandoz, Hoffmann-La Roche and Sanofi to FIBREX. At Sanofi he was responsible for the late stage development for Clopidogrel (Plavix®), a current blockbuster for Sanofi-Aventis. Most recently he was Medical Director Cardiovascular and General Medicine at the CRO Hesperion. He also runs his own company Mediante Clinical Services.
Sonja Reingruber, PhD, VP Research, is an experienced molecular biologist with excellent publication record and experience in designing and executing research projects.
Katherine Brandl, PharmD, VP Development, brings strong clinical development expertise to the company. Prior to joining FIBREX, she held clinical development management positions at Sandoz and Baxter Bioscience. She also held academic positions at several renowned universities in the U.S.
